Hotel Taferne
Schladming
The inn was formerly a farm building of the Benedictine monastery of St. Peter in Salzburg and was first mentioned in 1123 and the hotel still has its original front door! The hotel has been family owned for over four generations and the current owners Gilda Schmidt and her family offer you and your students a very warm welcome. The rooms also offer flat screen TV’s and telephone with some rooms having a balcony.
The hotel offers 30 rooms for up to 85 students. All rooms have been recently refurbished and offer a very good standard of accommodation in mostly triple & quad rooms for the students and twin rooms for the staff. All rooms offer full en suite facilities, flat screen TV’s, telephone and some with balcony.
The hotel has a separate breakfast room, which serves a wide choice of breakfast buffet from cold meats, cereals to fresh fruit and yogurts, the kids will love the choice. A 3 course evening meal, with a separate salad bar, is served in the large dining room. The Taferne also has its own sauna, heated boot drying room and ski store as well as an impressive bar/ games rooms that can also be used by the students.
The village is very quiet with only a couple of shops and a café so is again a perfect location for a student group. We guarantee this again will be a popular choice.
